We have a 2000 t280 sr Solaris we are trying to figure out the hot water. Hot water heater is in the switch in the bathroom that says water heater is on. I attached to different photos of the valves that come off the water heater. The was heater is full of water. And it is warm/hot. Just can’t figure out how to get the hot water thru the camper

Hi,

I am unsure if you have gotten past this yet, but here are a few issues. First is the water path; you have a two-valve water heater bypass kit. Those two valves are flipped into bypass mode. This is used for winterization when you pump RV antifreeze in the water system. You do not have to use 6 gallons of antifreeze, as you can bypass the tank. You drain the tank but pump the pink antifreeze through the water lines to chase out any water for winter storage.

Flip the levers on each valve to allow water to enter and exit the heater. This picture shows the levers in a more vertical orientation, allowing water to flow up the tube from the bottom valve to the top valve and into the water piping, bypassing the water heater. The valves only turn 90 degrees. Flip them more horizontally, and depending on the orientation, it may seem one flips opposite of the other to go to normal operation mode.

But before you allow water into that heater, let's talk. I will explain how the water heater works in the next post above. That tank may leak, which may be why it was left in bypass.

More in the other post of yours. I hope this helps.

Also to consider....do you have an outdoor shower? If so check to see if the water valves are on in any way. The valves can be left on while the shower head is turned off. This will shunt cold water through the system and give you luke-warm water instead of hot water.
