Hi,
We will be going to a campground with no sewer hookups, but they will have a honeywagon that comes around. I have read some bad things about that any advice?
Thanks
Colleen

Hi Colleen, Welcome to the forum.

I have not had any firsthand experience myself but wanted to welcome you to the SOC. Hopefully someone that knows will chime in.

We camped in Maine once where the majority of sites didnt have sewer hookups. We did, so didnt use the honey wagon, but a lot of people did. I didnt hear any complaining. There was a charge for the service.

WOW - I posted here yesterday and it is not showing now - and I posted about the compartment doors and that is missing also....where are my posts going????

OK anyway - when Leo goes to the Nascar races with his fire depratment buddies - they take advantage of the honeywagon all the time and they never encountred any problems.....

Hi,

Thank you for your help, I have read some really bad things about honeywagon's and was hoping someone new about this and some precautions we can take. There is no charge from what I told.

Thank you again
Colleen & Brian

Never had a problem with the honeywagon. If there's no charge for your honeywagon service, you're doing better than I am. I camp at horse show grounds where there is no dump, but Mr. Honeywagon comes calling each day. Our honeywagon man pumps us out for $30.00. (about 30 gal of grey and 20 gal black from me if I need it.)

For me, Mr. Honeywagon costs less than taking the detour to the $55.00 dump site on the ride home. I've never had a problem, and my Sunline is all original and aging (1985).
I am curious, though. What is bad about using a honeywagon? I have had this current camper for a year now with no trouble, but the previous owner had it since 2007 and had only used the honeywagon at the same campground with no trouble at all. I would like to know the pro and con of the honeywagon.

I have never heard of the "camper" honey wagon. On the dairy farm, well yeh...

Learn something new every day here on SOC.

Also Welcome Colleen & Brian to Sunline Owners Club
