My husband and I just purchased a 2003 Sunline T1950. It will be primarily be used by me while attending dog shows but we plan on the occasional fun trip. We previously owned a Four Winds Motor home. Switching to a camper will be a bit of an adjustment, especially when it comes to storage, finding a place for a generator and all my exercise pens, but the ability to leave the camper and go places with the truck will be nice. Not to mention better fuel mileage!
Looking forward to learning all I can about Sunline. First order of business is to clean and condition the roof. It looks to be in great shape but I am sure it has not had the recommended twice a year spa treatments!
Any advice appreciated!

Lynne & David,

Welcome to SOC. There is a lot of info on the site and very friendly people.

I don't see to many Lynne's these days. I do see Lynn

Enjoy your T1950

Lynn :)

Thanks! I have all but given up on correcting folks when they leave off the "e". After over 50 yrs I have just learned to go with the flow!
And this does seem to be a really friendly, helpful forum. (not like some of the other forums I have been on)

I hear you. What they may not know is the "e" was for the girls and no "e" was for the guys.

I have given up after over 50 yrs. explaining that myself. I was just "carded" last week because the person said "that can't be your credit card because Lynn is a girl!" I said back when I was born Lynne was a girl and Lynn was a boy.

The kick was she was older than myself. :-?

The younger generation I know have no clue as the "e" tended to get dropped for the girls.

Hi Lynn & David, welcome to the SOC - you are right - there is a great bunch of people on this forum.....may get slow responses on a weekend...but you will get response when everyone comes back on Monday LOL!

Leo and I started out in a 1950, loved it except for the bed.....I'm taller than Leo so I slept on the outside, he goes to bed after I do and gets up before me.....so that did not work! So we got a 2499, which we traded in last year - cried that day we left it at the dealer......we went BIG, we got a Rubicon 2900 Toyhauler...definitely NOT a Sunline, but that is a different story!

On the 1950, we made the "hanging closet" near the sink, into a closet with shelves....we didn't bring any "hang up" clothes with us! Your bed does open from the inside, so you can store things under there as well.

Well welcome again, and enjoy your Sunline!

Thanks for the tip on the storage under the bed! The Sunny has a little less storage than our Four Winds did but not by much. Last night I just went out and sat in it for a bit, so relaxing!

Hi Lynne and David,

Welcome to the SOC. We hope you get lots of enjoyment from your "new to you" Sunline. I understand going out to your camper and just sitting in it. I'm sure lots of us have done the same. The people on the site are friendly and helpful. Again, Welcome!

Whew!!!At least we're not the only one,we also enjoy sitting in our Sunline! We also find it very relaxing:)

Just had to say welcome and add we had a good family friend named Lynn David Hebert. (Author of incredible books) We always used both names as his dad was "Lynn".

Anyway.... welcome !!
