Getting a new TV

DF

You are gaining and nice looking rig.

I agree with Henry, scales tell all. Then you know exactly what is moving and where.

To your comments on the DC. TV Air suspension cannot change tongue weight. But is can mask some of it.

If you make it to the scale try this.

Air suspseion on, WD engaged, do the TT and TV all axle by axle. Use the 3 stage scale. TV front on 1, TV rear on the Other and both TT duals on the 3rd.

Then drive off or leave it there a long enough time / or turn off and bleed down the air suspension.

Take those same 3 weights.

WD will transfer weight to the TT axles. You can get read on the amount of weight transfer from the TT axles and the frt and rr TV axles.

From the weight change we can get a handle on how much it will matter or not. (maybe)

The real key with the DC is that both DC's are dead on when the Air suspension is pumped up as that is the way you tow. And the TT is level or slight nose down when all pumped up. Lifting the tongue has a slight interaction on the DC. You may or may not see it. But if you do see it, I would adjust the DC.

These 2 pics should help. Be picky on the DC and mark the bars left and right and allwasy put on the saem side once tweaked to perfection. They do wear in different as they are not machined WD bars. If you flip the bars all the time, they start wearing different all over again.

Using a flash light you can see the daylight front and rear

Let us know how it goes.

I never thought about marking the bars. I'll do that. The cams are set to the right length as it is sitting now. That's why I wanted to get it to the big level parking lot yesterday.
