I have a 1999 sunline 26 footer (t2553). Was wondering if there is a filter on this furnace, like the one on home units. Also, are these furnaces all loud when blowing warm air? Thanks!
Hi Dave. No, there are no filters on trailer furnaces. Yes the furnaces are loud , in part because the blower motor is 12 volt DC and are loud compared 120 volt AC motors.
Get yourself an electric heater. those propane heaters suck propane like it's going out of style. I have a Vornado heater I got at a garage sale for $15.00 and I use it into Nov to heat my T2553.
Agreed the electric heater will keep it warn I usually warm the camper up with the furnace then switch to electric heat. I had no electric once while camping so I left the heat on and woke up wondering why I had camped at the air port would have bet a jet had just taken off. The furnace will heat the camper and do it well but you pay for it with the fuel usage and noise I guess some can sleep through it I'm one that can't.
