furnace ignition-won't light pilot

i joined a discussion under another's post about their furnace problems, but i'm starting a new thread here to be more specific. the problem is with my 83 1350 furnace (atwood or lowboy? have to double check. automatic ignition type), the furnace turns on, fan blows, but i can't light the pilot. the igniter won't work...

rv folks keep telling me to "blow out" the vents, or other parts related to the igniter (electric). what exactly do i "blow out?" there is the vent outside to the side next to the fridge, the vent up to the roof, and all the valves/wires in the furnace itself, though i don't see how the valves/wires could get stuff trapped in there...

there is also the main gas line from the propane tank to the furnace. could stuff get in there? does this need to be pulled apart and "blown out?"

fyi re: furnace and propane: i will be getting a new regulator, but the stove works fine...so i don't think it's that, or solely that. though someone looking at the water heater said that the regulator was the problem there. it has gas flowing all the way to the pilot light, but when i was away for a minute, he said that flames came out of the box area/grated area above the water heater valve (where the pilot/on/off button is when he was trying to light the pilot. i didn't see it. either way i'll have a new regulator, but i think it's not the problem since the stove has worked fine since i got it...

spiders love the propane line, try taking a small brush and clean out the propane/pilot line......

is that the line underneath the camper or the pilot line at the front of the furnace? maybe they are the same line, i'm a newbie. thanks

we got it!
after several tries and ideas, we found a clog in the pilot light hole-so tiny, had to use a hair thin needle to unplug it. but it's working very well. after all the movement, there is a leak in the aluminum line from the pilot/on/off switch so we are replacing that and then it will be complete. we also had to run the gas a bit to get a lot of air out of the line. so glad it worked out and it works very well, very toasty in my little 1350

Noralee - glad to hear the problem has been found...keep warm down there - we woke this am to 19 degrees F! Winter is coming tooo fast..............
