First time boondocking!

One day should be no problem. We normally do a couple weekends a year. Have fun and enjoy the blue grass!

New to this travel trailer camping.thinking the less you need hook ups the more freedom . I will say my first two trips We had full hook ups, nice way to go!

Boondocking's the way to travel. Wean yourself from those hookups
We spend 6 months each yr boondocking in warmer climes
You're 100% right in thinking fewer hookups=more freedom

In the NE at least state camp grounds do not have power and they are some of the best and most beautiful places to camp. My biggest problems are fresh water and gray water long term.

As far as the camping went. I backed into a site for the first time,and learned that running off the battery, my 110 outlets and the microwave do not work. I also found out that for a fee I can dump my tanks at a campground(I looked it up, it's one word ) near my house.
