First problem with 264SR

After getting home from the weekend, opened up the coach to see water all over the floor. It rained most of the way home and water was coming in under the slide. After climbing under the coach in the pouring down rain, I noticed the metal strip on the bottom of the slide is about 1-1/2" away from the rubber gasket. The slide is tight around all the sides, so I'm thinking someone screwed up putting the metal strip on. Looks like I'll have some work to do before going to the M&G

had the exact same problem with our 267sr except I caught it before we ever got any water in our camper,solved my gap issue by putting a piece of push on door weatherstripping on the aluminum where the gap was real wide,now it's sealed nicely.I eventually want to put a splash guard up in the wheelhouse to help keep all the road crud off of all the slide seals.

I had the same problem, so apparently they didn't learn from their mistakes. I ended up moving the aluminum up against the gasket and siliconing the old holes. I don't know about yours, but my gasket curves out at the ends, and they just bent the aluminum in one place which didn't match up very well. Another cut in the aluminum brought it up closer.

Was the leak at the front or back of the slide?

Jon, I also cut the aluminum strip to make it fit the gasket a little better. I just had a problem again with water getting in while driving in the rain. Looked under the slide and had a gap again. Noticed the rear of the slide didn't close as far as the front, so I adjusted the slide myself even though lippert said it should be done at a dealer. The adjustment bolts didn't seem very tight for the amount of weight they carry. They are tight now! Problem solved.
