My husband and I finally got to use our 2066 T2363 that we purchased last August. We took a trip to Charleston, SC from our home on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. Didn't start out great we arrived at our first night's destination a state park in NC after closing and where locked out. After driving for a while we found a KOA campground and proceeded to lock ourselves out of our vehicle. Truck running with keys inside along with cells phones etc. (you get the picture). Another camper from NJ was kind enough to contact AAA and a very friendly gentleman came to our aid. The next situation we dealt with was a leaky toilet. My husband replaced a valve but the spring mechanism inside the foot peddle popped out and was impossible (have to give him credit he spent 2 hours trying to get it back in) to get back in. At least it didn't leak anymore but had to be flushed by hand rather than by foot.
Happily things improved and we had a great time. Loved Charleston!
Heat worked great, bed is very comfortable, shower was good and I was able to cook comfortably. My husband had no problem handling the trailer or parking (didn't expect he would since he trailers a lot of boats).
All in all not a bad shake down trip. I hope we can find the time to get back on the road soon. :)

Well that was not too bad! We have had worse.....glad you enjoyed your new to you Sunny. May you have many more memory making trips!

Hi and Welcome to the (SOC) Sunline Owners Club! Hope you have lots of great times with your Sunline. We, like Poppy and Nana said, have all had those little memory makers that make for good stories around the campfire. Have fun and Enjoy!

Thanks for the well wishes. This was the first time we camped for about 18 years so I guess we did ok.

Congrats on your first trip. It sounds like you eventually became a good time :)

Hi Carol,

Glad it all worked out. That foot pedal toilet valve spring can be a real handful. They actually sell them installed in the plastic part that goes with it as it is so hard to wind it to get it in there.

We all have these 1st time things....In our case on our 1st new Sunline, camped coming home from the dealer, cold wet November night, we could not get the ball coupler to unhook.... Most newer campers have a coupler latch that slides front to back. Well...I never saw one and the dealer hooked the truck to the camper. All my prior trailers (flat bed, canoe, boat etc) lifted up. A TT ball coupler will not lift up... by design no less. We made it past it and that is a long distant memory and a good chuckle around the camp fire...

Hope you have many happy and enjoyable memories in your Sunline.

John
