Diesel Prices

87 regular at the Moble down the street, $2.30 for 87 octance. Come on camp over here in central OH. Glad to have ya.

It was not long ago we where shcoked and ticked when it hit 2 bucks a gallon. Now we are dancing in the streets to even get close....

John,

You typed what I was thinking when I posted the recent price drop. Just makes us realize how the government is brain washing us into accepting/living with stuff.

I'd love to see diesel for $1.99, but I know I must be typing this in my sleep thinking that.

WOW, I can't believe it, I "stole" diesel today at Winchester, VA Flying J for @3.019 a gallon and checked my mileage for last tank 16.689 mpg, none of that was towing, so after some 52K miles I have maybe  finally gotten over the 13 to 15 mpg solo.

$3.08 Diesel is the cheapest I've seen at the stations I watch. :D The strange thing is there are still some that are over $3.50. You really have to keep track to avoid the high ones. It's strange because one of the most expensive diesel stations is the cheapest on gas, and the cheapest diesel is expensive on thier gas. :? They're both Shell Stations about five miles apart. Gas prices range about $.20 where as Diesel can range as much as $.50 -.60 per gallon.

I saw diesel for $2.93 on Friday. I also saw gasoline for $2.06.

$2.06! I was excited when I finally saw $2.19. Diesel is still higher and with wide variations as mentioned above.

Be careful with buying the cheapest diesel. We finally figured out why it's so cheap on the PA Turnpike. It's NOT ultra low sulfur. It's only low sulfur. GRRR....

I've run across that several times, once at a station in Gap on my way home from the Jersey shore. It's fine for me since my truck is pre 2007 emissions. Mine actually gets better mileage with the older type fuel. When I can find it, I use it. When using the newer style low sulfur fuel I put in some fuel conditioner once in a while.

Returning from the Eastern Shore last night Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel @$2.899!!! on Rt. 404 in Denton, MD. I think that's the cheapest since I've had the Diesel

The going rate for regular around here is between $1.94 and $1.99 at most stations, with a few as high as $2.09. Haven't seen it much higher than that recently. I filled up last night for $1.94 and saw the same at the TA I passed today.

Diesel has been about $2.75-$2.95, but I haven't paid as much attention to that. I've seen a couple that don't sell much that are still above $3.00, but that's not too many.

On a good note, the same station I saw north of me a couple weeks ago that had the first $1.99 I had seen in a while, had $1.68 last night. Yes, $1.68 (One dollar and sixty eight cents!!!). Unfortunately, in order to see their sign when going southbound on the highway (the station is at the SW corner of the highway and cross road), you have to be past the exit and past the road itself to see it. I did see a long line at it though!

Gas is down to around $1.80 in some places here, but diesel is staying at around the $3 mark  . Heating oil is advertised at one supplier for $2.69. That should at least bring some relief to homeowners.

Diesel was 2.19 in South Carolina last weekend! 2.55 in PA.

Yeah, on our haul to Fla. over Christmas, prices fluctuated from $2.19 to $2.69. It's hovering around $2.50 here.

Gas and diesel prices are heading up in the Atlanta area. I hope they do not go too far, but only time will tell...

Lowest I've seen in my area was $2.09 for diesel that was about a week ago. That station is back up to $2.29. Average low was about $2.29.

Almost lost the car last night 8) :D

One of our local independant dealers..........Diesel @ $1.95/gal :!: It was actually cheaper than High test.

Local Shell is at $2.01

It's funny though...there are still some at $2.50 +

I have seen the same thing in Fayetteville, GA. Diesel at or below the price of premium. Of course, there is a big swing in diesel prices within a mile or two of each other. I have seen it as low as 1.99 and as high as 2.69.

The oddest thing I have seen recently was a 'Flash Foods' station that did not indicate the grade of the diesel. No sign indicating whether it was low sulfar, or ultra low sulfar. I talked to the station manager and he claimed it was because he was outside the Atlanta metro area. However, other stations in the area had the label stating the grade.

I paid $197.9 today at the Flying J in Clearbrook, VA exit 323 on RT 81. THis is the cheapest place for me to get diesel, and only 11 miles from home. It is right at the WV/VA stat line.
