Hi Everyone,
We were planning an overnight camping stop at the eastern end of PA off I-80. We are heading in (west) from NJ and the time of the year will be the first week of April. (next week)
Hickory Run State Park in PA near White Haven campground does not open until April 13 and Promised Land has limited sites in the Pickerel Point CG before the 13th when the main CG opens. So these are not really options.
I found the Delaware Water Gap /Pocono Mountain KOA is open year round with winter camping and it is close to the NJ/PA line off I-80.
Has anyone stayed there before? We will only be their one night and we ideally want at least 20 amp 120 AC power.
Anything special to know about the campground, good or bad?
Or do you have any other camping options not far from I-80 near that area? Again need 120 power.
I found Jenny Jump State Forest in NJ is open April 1st for camping by the web but it looked like a quite a hike to the CG with a camper to get back to the camping area. Ideally a semi quick on and off I 80 is what we are looking for. Going in late and coming out early.
Thanks
John
