De-Winterizing HELP!

I have done this about 3 times (once a year) so I am never sure if the WH bypass is On or Off because there is nothing to indicate On or Off

Same with the hot & cold lines

I assume since I have it Winterized at the dealer that the HW by-pass is in the Off position. It was straight up

So I turned the water on and water came running out one of two blue pipes directly under the HW compartment? Never had THAT happen before? No water inside the trailer

So my question is "What the heck is with the water coming out of one of blue pipes?

And which direction is the HW bypass turned On & Off and also the hot & cold lines so I can finish this and move on to sanitizing the water system

I think I have it figured out but still wondering why water was coming out of one of those blue pipes? I did have the garden hose in the city water inlet still tuned out so maybe its an overflow protection??

The third picture is your low point drains. When open they will drain your water lines. The only thing you can do is hook up to water system and turn the low point drain valve until water stops coming out under trailer then make a note which position is open and which is closed.

Your third picture with the red and blue water lines. The white fittings with the levers are your valves. Your picture of your water heater shows me that the valve handle is in the right position for using system. When it is pointed up it in bypass.

This pic is your low point drain valves "inside" the camper

What you cannot see is the low point drain pipe that drains out under the camper. Those white valves are 3 way valves, meaning water can be selected to leave 2 ways through the valve. To drain you flip them and the water drains out the tubes under the camper. To not drain you flip the back to normal and the water stays in the camper.

The little handle on the side rotates 90 degrees. Full drain is one direction and 90 degree to that is shut off the drain and allow water to pass through the valve. Trail and error will tell you which way is which. Once you figure it out, use a sharpie and mark open and closed.

It's the same with the bypass. It should be marked

Also I notice when De-winterizing is that very little antifreeze was used.

Just how much antifreeze SHOULD be used to do a good job?
I imagine it depends on how big your rig is?

My T-276SR takes a little over a gallon of pink stuff. If I could get all of it out with the winterizing kit, I could probably get away with a gallon and that includes running enough through to fill the traps.There isn't a lot of volume in the pipes.

Depends on rig. You don't put any in hot water tank, you empty and bypass. I blow my lines first then I pump in the antifreeze. On my T2553 I only use about a gallon for the lines. I then pour extra in all the traps. Don't for get outside shower if you have one.

Joan..I blow out the lines after draining the FW tank and water heater is bypassed...I use a little less than 1 gal.in the pipes,then some in drains..don't forget the shower drain and inside and outside shower faucets! So all told I use over the gallon, and am into the next for next year.
However,this year I returned from Fl.sick and in extreme pain-couldn't winterize-March was extremely cold so I managed to bypass and drain WH..ran electric heater almost 24/7! ran water pump thru tilll dry..Well..NOT GOOD..when weather broke,I turned the water on to test all...frozen kitchen faucet!Cracked and sprayed all over..same with the pex line connecto r...Not fun installing new faucets in a tiny area! But my new one looks great!.WINTERIZE!

I kept trying turning the valves one direction,then the other and even midpoint and water still kept coming out of the low point drain pipe thought there was something wrong until I tired one valve in one direction and the other in the opposite direction and this seems to work

Did anyone suggest this? Is this usual? From going back and reading this I thought that both of them had to be in the same direction?

Just looked at mine. They're pointed in opposite directions. Taking a real study look the valve handle is pointed in direction of flow.

Well, they are pointing the same way ... IF you look at the position of the valve relative to the body of the valve. (and use some photoshop trickery )
