Howdy happy campers
Heading to Florida in April plan on stopping at General Butler State park in northern Kentucky. Have any of you stopped there at do you wish to share info about that park. What I have seen on the web so far it looks like a nice spot.

Hi Ted - We camped for a few days at the General Butler State Park ((KY) about 10 years ago. We were impressed with the campground, and surroundings as well. They had some real nice campsites that had water and electric hookups, and also sites that were less formal. It was summertime so everything was very green. They have a beautiful golf course as well. Also within the park is a large Inn located on a high bluff that overlooks the Ohio River. We really enjoyed our stay there. Give it a try.

Hello, we camped there last summer and had a great time, it is kind of hilly in some parts of the campground but the sites were not bad at all. It shouldn't be very crowded that time of year. Do you have reservations or just stopping in?

Thank you for the replys. Yes we do plan on just stopping in. This is a trip we have waited a long time for as it will be the first south in our TT. DW and I went to Winnipeg last summer and one of the best parts was just stopping where we felt like it. I had planned on going past Louisville KY first day out but a fellow trucker was telling me how bad the traffic can be there at rush hour so will stop before and take our time leaving next day.

Thanks again Ted
