Yes, camping season is over for us. Had a fun Spring/Summer and we're already thinking of checking out a few new-to-us parks for next year.

We are seeking advice on decent sites for Putnam Pond, Robert Moses and Fish Creek. Good for our 25' Sunline. We kayak and would love to have easy access to the water as well (for Putnam and Fish Creek).

Thanks for any advice !

Gail and I are long time Fish Creekers. All of the sites are on the water except the A sites which are inland. Sites on the middle pond are closest to the creek so if you want to go exploring up there, they may be a better choice for you. You can usually get through to Floodwood Pond, and if you're hardy, you can do the Rollins Pond Loop as well. If you check over at fishcreekpond.com, they've multiple photos of each site in the park and detailed info as well. All of the kayaking and hiking is documented on that website.

If you follow the links over there, they have most of the NYS parks documented just as well.

If you check the user list on fishcreekpond.com, you'll find that Gail and I were the very first users to sign on after Dave & Kate created the site. We've been with them since the beginning.

We're partial to the FCP sites that are in the 138 to 160 area and some up in the 200's as well. Most any 30' site will handle your Sunline just fine so let the pics tell the story. If you have questions about a specific site, just holler.

So, after a lot of reading on that very neat site and trying to figure out the location of the creek, we think #36 on the middle pond might be a good one. Any thoughts?

Fish Creek is sure a popular spot !! Having trouble finding available sites in July so I think we will do Robert Moses and then back down to Putnam Pond. We might try Fish Creek in Sept. Maybe on way to/from Nick's Lake. Assume when kids are back in school it is easier to find a site ?
