A Sunny Tally?

Jon,

I have to admit that it is funny that in attempting to provide more information, the end result is that less information is displayed. Leave it to a confuser ( computer). LOL.

I know...they're working on it. Having a state only is great for something like a Ford truck forum, but for this, so many members are concentrated in a few specific states that it's dumb to just have a state showing. Right now the focus has been to get the member list where people can sort information easier, and then I think they'll work on the post side pane. I know one of the suggestions was to get rid of the word "location" altogether, and put the city there. Hopefully we will see some of the changes in the next couple days.

Jon....a question...I started the update today and noticed that the last name is kept private, but the first name is not....When I joined up, the idea was that you had an on-line name for the SOC.. I chose "Drake." It makes no difference in the world to me, I'll use which ever one you want me to, it's just that probably, some folks may want first names to remain anonymous as well as their last names.

That's a good point. I recently found out that a lot of that information is required as part of the COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act), but I'm not sure if that part is required.

A lot of us early members are just used to calling each other by first names, which came from the close knit community of the early days. I'm not sure if that played into why that part is visible or not. I've been extremely busy over the last couple weeks and haven't followed the whole discussion of changes like I normally would.

I too have been curious as to where Sunline owners are located and have gone through the owners list to find any West Coast people. I get the feeling I'm the only one on the West Coast. The Sunline registry shows 2 in Oregon, 3 in Washington and about 3 in California ,but no cities or areas are listed. It seems that most owners live in Michigan ,New York , and North Carolina areas. I've not seen any Sunlines yet in my travels of the West Coast yet. Still looking though.
An updated data base would be nice. Captain Ron
