I am looking at a couple one is a 2004 267SR with a slide seems clean but the asking price is a bit high imo $7900

Thinking a fair price for this one is about $6k ? I maybe a bit ?

Why should I buy this sunline?

I made a mistake its an 03 and it needs both awnings replaced as well as the screen door

Does Sunline sell the logo stickers on the front window awning and the rear of camper ? they are all ripped in half and faded bad !

Owner does not know when the brakes were serviced last, jack knife sofa and dinette got nice stains on them so not sure if I have to flip the cushions for the dinette around or just change the fabric out.

Ac circuit board was replaced once before, owner does not know about roof and I cant climb up to check it ( I didn't take a ladder with me )

I am gonna go to see it again this weekend with $6000 in hand and try to pick it up for that much, or else I will walk away.

Before I buy any TT I check out the floor frame with a moisture meter, their only $15-$20. Will save you allot of misery. If the frame show high moisture content it has a leak. Also an ice pick will tell you if there is rot in the frame. If there is resistance ok if it sinks in easily you have rot. Stay away or plan on repair work.

I never thought of a moisture meter, I own one that I use to test the firewood I have for sale.

Where should I poke the moisture meter ? Lay under trailer and just have at it in floor ? A roof is another issue that would scary me of it's leaking.

Where the siding wraps around under frame. There's a wood frame around the perimeter of trailer where your floor cross members tie into, then covered in a plastic underbelly protector which extends about 8 inches up the wall. If there's a leak any where that plastic underbelly material just holds the water against the wood. With no where to go the water soaks into the wood and starts the rotting that grows like a cancer, first the frame then the floor. By the time you feel floor getting spongy theres a lot of damage done.

Yep, they did, until they closed down the business in 2006. A few people have attempted to make replicas on here that have come out pretty nice.

I'd try cleaning them with a carpet cleaning machine first. Many of them have hand held upholstery attachments that make it easy. Pretreat the area with a cleaner and then try to clean with the machine.

Hi blk90s13http://www.sunlineclub.com/forums/members/blk90s13-6233.html,

Why buy a Sunline? They are very good campers, they where built well. That said how loved it has been since it left the factory is a real good question.

Since this is a slide camper, feel both ends of the slide floor for soft spots, outside on the bottom of the floor. It should be rock hard. If it is soft, that means slide floor rot. Not bad to fix, but need to know going in. See here http://www.sunlineclub.com/forums/f...-floors-something-you-should-check-11086.html

The roof seams, if the prior owner has no idea, that "might" be a real issue. OR not. Bring someone with you who can get up on a ladder and look at all the roof seams. Here is a post to help show what to look for. These small cracks are the start of the problem. They do not yet leak but the wider the get the more chance a leak can be there

A minimum of 2 times a year (going into winter and coming into spring) the caulk must checked and any little split or slit, fixed right there and then. Lack of roof maintenance is not a Sunline fault. A large % of all the campers built today have rubber roof and they have this caulk issue.

Hope this helps and good luck

John
