Well, after sitting here sooooo long just talking to talk, I can finally walk to walk! I became the proud owner of a '98 T-270SR Slide Room as of 3:00 this afternoon. I don't have many pics yet but will post some as soon as I can get them uploaded. It has the Black Cherry Tapestry interior. I basically just parked it and haven't had much time to play with it. I hope to play with it tomorrow and take some more pics.

BTW, it probably won't be coming to the M&G...Over my Mom's dead body!

Jon

Jon,

Congratulations on your new Sunline. That's your first slide model isn't it? You'll spend so much time tinkering with it that you'll probably have to give up your position as moderator huh? LOL We all know you've been waiting a while for this moment.

Enjoy,
Mike

No offense Jon, but it is about time. I wondered when you were going to take the plunge. I knew you of all people couldn't be without a Sunline to long. Congratulations. You must have been waiting for just the right one. What was the deciding factor the model type, condition of coach, price, mods, what?
Best of luck in your new coach.

BTW, all the pillows, dishes, etc., came with the trailer!

Hey Jon,
Don't tell my wife about that clothes line on the back of the coach. I told her they don't make them anymore!
 MM

Hey, that thing is coming off tomorrow. I think it would make a great B-day present! I'll even bring it to PA next weekend! I have to admit though it doesn't look that great on the back of the coach.

Jon

Oh, BTW, it is FOR SALE!!!! If anyone is interested or knows of someone who is, let me know! PM me or send me an E-mail at sunlinefan@yahoo.com. Due to the M&G this weekend, I will not be available to show it from Thursday thru Monday of next week.

For details about weights, etc., check out the files section for the '98 brochure.

Jon

So you bought it today and you are already selling it???? I thought I was bad keeping the TT for only a few months and then selling it for a larger one......or are you talking about the clothes dryer on the back???

Congrats on the new to you TT......

Kathy,

Actually, both are For Sale. I'm thinking about putting some of these little accessories on eBay, but I have to learn how to use it. I'd rather sell them here within the club, so if anyone's interested in any of it, let me know.

Jon

P.S. My dad wanted me to have it sold by midnight . I told him yeah right. I'd like to have it sold by Sept. 1 though.

Jon,

Congrates on getting the new Sunline and good luck on selling it.

Our you putting the profits to your college fund :)

Hutch

So are you becoming a Dealer now?? You buy and sell within one month? That's not even enough time to enjoy it.

Did you happen to buy it from a guy on Wixom Road in Milford? I sold my Golf Cart to this guy before we left, and he had one just like that he told me he was getting rid of.

Congrats

Pat

I've gotten the chance to bring it home today and have begun to wash it. Here are some pics of before and after the wash. I haven't put any Awesome on yet, just regular car wash soap. I'm very impressed with the difference.

Here's some pics taken this morning just before the wash:

I don't know Jon, that coach looks nice enough to keep! What a shame you can't go to Denver to get a new rock guard and some new badging it would look new.
MM

Hey Jon,

Nice looking Sunline. Just curious, why are you wanting to sell it so soon?

Now, for the dirty stone guard. I had one just as bad. I used a brush (BBQ grill, I think) with the "brass colored wire bristles" and those bristles really got into all the fiberglass hairlines and cleaned it up to look like new.

Maybe Stoltzfus still has some decals available?

Good Luck

Kitty,

Funny you should mention the rock guard. That was my afternoon project in the 100 degree heat. I pulled it off and put it on a table under the awning so I could work on it in the shade.

Here's what I started with:

So I scrubbed and scrubbed with Awesome and Soft Scrub and used both a stiff brush (not BBQ type) and a brillo pad. It looked great and I was very pleased with the results. I can still see some of those fiberglass lines, but it's not that bad:

Well, I decided I wasn't totally happy. I found a red paint marker and went to town. I'm not happy that it's not the original dark red color, but it's better than a faded out logo:

Here's a close up comparison:

Later on this evening, I started tackling the interior, removed the seasonal campground numbers, and painted the tongue:

BTW, I found the AC works very well. It got so hot in there that I made sure nothing else was on and cranked up the AC. It cooled off the interior very nicely.

Jon

Hey Jon,
Like Hutch said, are you going to give us lessons at the M&G on coach clean up? You could come to each coach individually to "demonstrate". I work very hard on my black streaks and my coach still does not look as good as yours after just a couple of days. You will have to tell me how you cleaned up that rock guard, mine is looking a little shabby. Yours looks great. Never thought it would look that good from what I saw in the first pictures.
MM

Sure, I'll show you how to clean it. I wouldn't mind washing some of your coaches, but with the heat I could only do so much. It looks like it's going to be a hot one.

I just cleaned the front and rear with Awesome this morning and it looks a lot better.

Jon
