9-29-13 UPDATE: niece missing over 3 months, now "Home"

6-24-13 UPDATE

Searches are still centered around the river :( and no one who would know anything is talking :mad:. It's hard enough not knowing where she is, but truly heartbreaking to see how her (4-yr-old) big sister misses "Sissy" and wants her to come home.

Thursday's pre-trial hearing had been continued to today at the request of police. We were hoping they had new info and would find the baby over the weekend, but we still don't know where she is or what happened.

'Mom' was bound over to grand jury this morning and charged with obstruction of justice, felony 3. Bond still at $250K/no 10%. Child endangering charge was dropped due to the only evidence being her statement. Law enforcement has said they can't believe anything she tells them because her story keeps changing.

Nancy Grace will feature this nightmare we are living again tonight. I'm not familiar with Dr. Drew, but he has picked up the story, too.

Praying this precious child is found soon!!!

6-28-13 UPDATE: niece missing

Baby has still not been found. Volunteers are still searching daily (mostly along river for any evidence that may wash up :(). Comment was made before she went missing that mother wanted to take her (but not her older sister, who can and would talk) to Florida. Still unknown if she is alive and has been given to someone so she could be picked up later (but father's call to 911 reporting her as missing foiled the pick-up) or if she was thrown in river (as stated in one of mother's many different stories).

I noticed an error in my last post - when grand jury charged 'mom' with obstruction of justice, bond was set at $100K/no 10% (not previous $250K). She is still in jail, although a local bail-bondsman has offered (on tv, no less) to post bond to get her out for 5K down and payments of another 5K :mad:. Hopefully, no one takes them up on it as she is a flight risk. She is also safer behind bars since some in the community seem to have a vigilante attitude - but we need her to be able to talk when she finally decides to tell the truth.

Next day in court will be the 24th of July.

The confusion and questions continue. LE won't say what was in the bag, but a body hasn't been found. Still don't know if the hair is Elaina's. Hoping (maybe foolishly) that she has been hidden with someone until injuries healed or waiting for Angela to join her out-of-state somewhere but plans were foiled when she was put in jail.

We still can't get a straight answer as to what happened to this precious child. Those who should know aren't talking except for Angela and her story has changed several times (hence, the obstruction of justice charge).

We had another prayer/candlelight vigil this evening and another is scheduled for Saturday. 'Justice for Neveah' (a search group from Monroe, MI), family and community members are still searching daily.

Another tv station has a detailed timeline if you'd like to know more about what's been happening the past month.
