We'll Be There

We just reserved site #59. This will be our first M&G at Buttonwood and look forward to it! We were at the 2014 Shenandoah State Park M&G but couldn't make it this year.

Is there anything we need to know before arrival?, as we don't know anything about usual activities or expectations. It will be good to meet more Sunline owners. We have a 2003 Solaris Lite T2475.

Just 2 humans and 2 cats - staying T,F,S,S and then up toward Niagra Falls.

... then up toward Niagara Falls.

Glad you can make it.

Let us know if you want any suggestion and/or tips on Niagara Falls, what to see, where to camp, etc.

bdichristina and us are from the WNY area near Niagara Falls and would be happy to answer any questions.

We have reservations at Watkins Glen State Park and also Four Mile Creek State Park. We have never camped up that way before. so we're looking forward to seeing the area.

Four Mile Creek State Park is a very nice campground and close to Niagara Falls and other site-seeing options. We've never camped at Watkins Glen State Park so can't comment on that one.

Don't forget to bring your passports, because IMO the Canadian side is the best side to view the falls. You need your passports (or Enhanced Driver’s License) to get back into the States.

Other ideas to see when staying at Four Mile Creek State Park, if time allows & depending on your interests:
- Old Fort Niagara - US side ~2 miles from Four Mile Creek State Park
- Niagara on the Lake - CA side, nice town to walk around.
- Ride the Maid of the Mist when at the falls.
- North of the falls on the CA side is the Whirlpool and Floral Clock, both interesting sites. There are trails at the Whirlpool park, CA side just north of the Whirlpool, that lead down into the gorge.

AT Watkins Glen, since your staying at the State Park, it'll give you free access to all other state parks during your stay.
Some suggestions/ideas for the Watkins Glen area:
- Walk the gorge at Watkins Glen
- If like view falls, there's a lot of Ithaca area.
- Sampson State Park, ~1/2 up Seneca Lake on east side, there's a neat museum part of the park.
- Lots of wineries on both sides of Seneca Lake & Cayuga Lake - just east of Seneca Lake.

Hope this gives you some ideas and of some help to you in your trip planning.

Suggestions

Yes, it sounds like there is plenty to see up near Niagra Falls. Thanks for the ideas. I look forward to discussing the area when we get together in June. It looks like there will be a good crowd!
