2015 New England Meet & Greet

It's an amazing place. I hear the food is excellent, but we have yet to go there. Also of interest is VINS (Vermont Institute of Natural Science) which is within walking distance of the state park. They rehabilitate birds of prey and it is very interesting to see the birds up close. Bald Eagles, owls of all kinds, etc. They do programs several times a day and you can also watch the birds being fed.

Yep been there done that too! There is a great grocery across the street from the entrance to VINS. Good selection of wines.

Just a heads up that there are only 3 or 4 sites left for that weekend. If you've reserved a site, let me know and I will make a list of those attending. I think we will be a small group but hope if anyone is on the fence they'll snag one of the remaining sites ASAP !

P.S. A Sat./ Sunday stay yields a couple more available sites than a Friday/Sat. night stay.

We will bring firewood, the grill I won (thanks Kraft cheese !!) and charcoal. Also a round table to fit in the lean-to if it rains ! Please bring your own chairs if you can !

If anyone else wants to join in, do post. I may have a suggestion or two for finding a site at this campgound or at the nearby KOA.

Otherwise, see you in Quechee !!

Just wanted to post this happy coincidence. After posting above note I won $1,500 in Shaw's (supermarket) gift cards from Shaws and Kraft !! Again, thanks Kraft LOL. I may have to travel back across the state on Sat. for an "in-store" event to accept the cards. Trying to see if it can be scheduled for later. Anyway, I will bring back cake and balloons to the meet and greet ! :)

Will bring a smoker and do some meat one day. Ribs or .....? We can figure out which day when we see get there.
Hope you can make it Mainah!

Update. My "in-store" event has been set for later in month when we will be camping with the family at Lake St. Catherine which is near that store. So the grandkids can go to the event ! Fun !

We plan to do some kayaking and may have friends come over to kayak the reservoir at the huge Federal dam near Quechee. If anyone kayaks/canoes you are welcome to join us !

John... yum !! Sounds great !

Oh, last thing. We are getting the camper back tonight with its new stripes and decals. It turned out to be much more $$$ than we planned, but I hope (fingers crossed) that we love it. May try to post pictures if I get time.

The 2nd Annual New England Meet & Greet was a blase!
The weather was PERFECT! Cool, dry and no insects to contend with.
The food and company was very enjoy-full. We had interesting conversations and subject matter.

Many thanks to host Tom and Debbie and all that attended!

Looking forward to next year! :)
