We've talked it over, and here is the announcement:

The 2009 Adirondack Meet and Greet will be held on the last full weekend of September - Friday September 26th and Saturday September 27th at Nick's Lake State Park Campground located near Old Forge, NY. Once again, we'll be in C Loop.

Here is the link for reservations: Click here.

And here is the link for NYS Dept of Environmental Conservation:

Firewood Alert: Don't Move Firewood! See details (New Regulation as of June 2008)

There are several vendors for good firewood within a short drive from the campground.

We're good for the dates suggested. John, you'll have no problem in any 40' site, and would probably fit in most 30' sites as well. It was a damp weekend last fall but the first ADK M&G was a picture perfect weekend. Remember this link? http://www.photoshow.net/viewshow/MK8xP5EH We're looking forward to meeting you and seeing everyone there again.

Mike

(Kathy, I'll chip in a buck to help defray the cost of your travel expenses  )

Fellow Sunline Campers.

John and Cindy are booked in site 50. :D

Coming in on Wednesday 9-23 leaving Monday 9-28. 5 nights. 8)

Can’t wait. Is it September yet??? See you there

Mike, thanks for that super promo for a M & G link. WOW. 8) Tough act to follow. I looked up the 2008 M & G slide show last night, and it was great too. 8) Now we have 2 of them to help to melt the winter camping blues or create a high camping fever....LOL

Mike you are a wizard with the pics. Looking foward to seeing you and the rest of the northern group.

John

OK Leo & I are reserved into site 45 for Fri- Sat & Sun....

The "Community Site" has been reserved for Friday & Saturday nights.....site #54 - cost $51.00!!!!!

Mary & I are in - we have reserved the same site as last year - site # 37; arrive Friday, leaving Monday.

Plus - Santa Mary brought me a Honda 2000i for Christmas, so no more bumming off other people’s generators this year :D

Hutch

We booked #47 (the one with the utilities) arriving Friday afternoon and leaving anytime Sunday since we paid for Sunday night.

I'll start clearing the snow off the sunnie right now.

Paul, H'mm I thought you where on the CG power utility upgrade project. I have seen your handy work. You allways seem to have power and water no less. Won't all campsites in our loop have the exact same hookup's by the time we go?

Looking foward to meeting DW and you. And yes start shoveling, spring will come faster then....

John

Correct, that's the project. We're looking forward to meeting new people and seeing old friends. It's a good time that's far too short.

Lorie and I have reserved site 44 for Friday, Saturday and Sunday. It has good access to the water so if any one wants to keep their canoes or kayaks by the water they're welcome to.

I can't believe that I'm talking about boats when it's minus 4 degrees out!

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone again. Stay warm. Camping season is just around the corner.

Doug

Our site is also reserved; site 52, same as always, for Friday to Monday. John B, we'll be you your neighbor this year and looking forward to meeting you and Cindy. Doug, hopefully we'll be able to take the kayaks off the truck this year and take advantage of your waterfront site. See you all there.

Mike

Steve Collins, are you able to make it? Did not see your reservation yet.

There are more open sites for others to join. Long sites and short ones.

I’m getting camping fever just thinking about this…. Looking foward to seeing this beautiful area once again and meeting the names on the screen. This is going to be Great :!:

John

PS If I mixed up anyones info, please let us know.
Edit 1: 7-22-09 corrected site 40.

If all goes well, I will make our reservations this weekend.

Also, Kathy and Leo are listed for #40 and #45. I think they're just on #45.

We had a super time last year in spite of the rain. Mike has very large tarp that acts like a small pavilion. We were dry and cozy for all the group stuff.

Looking forward to meeting you folks!

Thanks for pointing out the mix up. Site 40 must be off camping with site 48...as neither of them show up on the map. I cut and pasted in the ButtonWood roster and doctored it up from there. Don't know how I put Poppy and Nana in 40....

If memory serves, those are non-reservable sites and don't show on reserveamerica.com's maps. They're used for last minute walk-in's when the park is full and also they can offer them to folks who aren't happy with the site they're on.

Gary mentioned trying to attend, but I'm afraid it just won't work, especially for me. I'll just be back driving the bus, and with my school system, "IF" I don't miss more than 4 days (total) of work I get almost $900.00 as a bonus. That 4 days included sick, personal or funeral, so no room for "fun" days off.

Now, if, in the future the MnG changes to the 1st half of August, that could be doable. But for now, my schedule will cause us to miss attending.

Dog gone it, "WHY" does work have to interfere with our fun :?:

John,

We're working on a plan to get up there for the M&G. Looked at the pictures and it looks beautiful, our kind of place for sure.

Also working on getting my brother along for that weekend, we'll see how it goes.

Hey Frank,

You are definitely correct, it's a beautiful place.

Plus you and Kathy owe it to yourselves after having to cancel your trip to the Buttonwood M&G

Hope you and your brother will be able to join us.

Frank, yes upstate NY is a very beautiful place. Actually a lot of NY is. It is going to be about a 1,700 mile round trip for us as we are doing 2 weeks across NY with the M & G in the middle. Have to put those new axles to the test on alignment….

Plus we never made it to get together at Buttonwood to talk weight calculations for that TT you wanted to build.

Plus 2, need to see those cool mod’s you did.

There are just too many Pluses and we really would like to see you there…. :D .

Hope you can make it.

John

Mike what is your TT?

John,

That would be a 2007 T-289SR. Very similar to yours but without the pass thru bathroom. Sure hope the weather improves for the M&G; we just returned from a 5 day trip to Buck Pond CG and were fortunate enough to get 2 days without rain. Still had a great time though.

Mike
