Greetings from British Columbia - Have been a member for sometime now but this is our first contact. We have a '92 T-1550 and are getting ready for a cross country adventure. Has anyone ever installed an ARB 2000 awning and if so what method did you use? The telescopic legs extend to 6'8" so has to be mounted lower than roof line on the side wall area.

Thanks - Joe & Lynne Harrison

I haven't heard of those so I had to look them up. They look a little fancier than the standard RV A&E awning. Any reason why you're looking at one of these vs. A&E?

ARB 2000 Awning

Good morning and thanks for the reply. We do allot of boon docking so have a few pieces of gear that work well for that. This awning was going to be installed on an off road teardrop we had. We thought that since we have it we might as well use it on the T-1550. I had initially thought that it was only 6.5' ft deep / trailer body out to legs. It's actually 8.2' so can be attached at roof line instead of lower down on the side wall. Makes life much easier. Just have to make sure we're structurally sound. Still open to ideas on brackets etc. This awning was designed to be attached to roof racks. It has a 2.5" flat channel type bracket on the back. Regards - Joe & Lynne
