I thought about getting maybe a 2" memory foam...

I thought about getting maybe a 2" memory foam topper instead of the egg crate foam. I wonder if the memory foam would be too heavy and if it would help disguise that gap. :x

Those who have the jack knife sofa, what bedding do you use to make it sleep more comfortably? I thought about getting some type of mattress topper to help cushion it and hopefully help make the gap...
