In a time crunch, let the Dicor go until you have time to deal with it. The butyl sealing tape will work well all on it's own. The original only had putty tape.... Even good...

If you used butyl sealing tape, and I do recommend that in place of putty tape, the butyl is more sticky and dirt can some times stick worse to it then putty tape.
