I put it over vinyl. I did a pretty good job cleaning it. (BTDT before, and knew how critical it was that it start off really clean.) I'll have to look into getting some of that glue.

We got some checker board floor tile and installed it last week before we did our first weekend outing. 6" black/white squares on 12" self-stick vinyl tile. Looked perfect.
