My T1700 has welded backing plates. I did however have all the parts that made it a lot easier as it will for the OP next time! I'm kind of wondering if the previous owner gave up during a brake job...

What you probably can do is buy the bolt on assembly remove all the parts and put them on your welded backing plates. You brake drum should be all the info you need for size, diameter and width. E...
