POR-15 is good stuff, but the problem is it isn't UV resistant. It might be ok to use on your frame rails alone, but if you use it on the tongue and bumper, plan to paint over it again with another...

I wouldn't mess with spray. Spraying black with so much white aluminum around is bound to have overspray. I'd use the old fashioned oil based brush paint in a can.

I've used it on many trailers...
