John, I'm pretty sure she has the rear shackles and not the slipper style. My 1550 was this way and I think most if not all single axle...

Is that $100 US or Canadian? I seem to remember the shop rate at my local dealer was around 90ish, so that doesn't seem too far out to me. Hopefully the handyman can get it all fixed up...
