Yeah, a U-haul probably didn't stick up at all, so you didn't see much change in the mileage. Not to mention the weight was much less.

For me, it really depends on the road and traffic...

I believe based on his other post that it's a 1989 T-1700.

Based on that, the brochure weights are as follows:

Axle Weight (dry): 1985
Tongue Weight (dry): 315
for a dry weight of 2300...
