Just about anywhere - Cracker Barrel
We've been long time fans of Cracker Barrel restaurants. They seem to have the most consistent food preparation of any of the chains. Food is always good, always hot, and portions are decent to generous.
One of the attractions for us is the parking reserved for RV's and buses. I have never seen a Cracker Barrel that didn't have the long parking spaces. Since we travel quite a bit with both the trailer and the boat, we need to be sure we can safely park.
http://crackerbarrel.com/ and there's a location link.

We like Cracker Barrels as well and do appreciate their consideration of RVs and Buses. As well their food is uniformly good and generally fairly priced. Fortunately we don't have any room for gifts and hustle thru the gift shop, a tempting place.
One of the things we've come to love with our micro sunline is the ability to go to places like Dunkin Donuts without a second thought about being able to park.

We also discovered CB on our first roadtrip down South. Ron especially loves their daily b'fast of hot oatmeal & a muffin, etc. I love their catfish sandwich for lunch. And sometimes we will stop by in the afternoon for a treat: coffee & a cobbler (or their coca-cola cake if available).

We like Cracker Barrel as well but also caryy a book called Road Food thta lists unusual food stops throughout the country. As well we seek out unusual non-chain places to eat,
Recent finds include:
Mary Margret's Tea and Biscuit - Arcadia, FL
Java Cafe - Wauchula, FL
Giovanis - Wauchula, FL
Pancho Villas - Fort Mead
The Depot - Avon Park

Norm - can you give me the author's name for the book, so I can look for it. We like the local joints as well, much better than the big regulars.

Alice

Alice,
There's also a Road Food web site.
Note sure if the site and the book are related, but it's another source to locate local eateries.

If the book is Roadfood by Jane & Michael Stern or one of several other books by them, then roadfood.com is their website.
Lots of posts on many different topics. Good stuff all around and definitely worth a bookmark in your browser.
