weird grandkids

This is the first year we were able to take all 4 grandkids camping with us. We left all the moms and dads at home. Just grandma, grandpa and 4 grandkids. We had a blast expect for a trailer the was too small. But we knew that from the beginning. From 6 to 13, 2 boys and 2 girls. Giggles and laughs all the way.
The funniest situation was when we were leaving and we had to empty black and gray water holding tanks. I'm out there with my gloves prepping the dumping only to look up and see all 4 kids lined up ready to see the greatest show on earth. I can't repeat some of their comments (no bad language or anything) just kids being silly and gross. you know all that poop & pee stuff and the sounds of "ewwww, was that yours"? and then the laughs and giggles.
My wife and I still laugh think about that. Just innocent kids being kids.

We're already planning next year's trip for the same crowd

Oh!!! With 4 grand kids and 2 adults. Be thankful it wasn't raining the entire time.
Been there years ago, with when my kids were small. Wasn't a fun weekend. Straw and mud all through TT, kids fighting and fighting. I thought camping was supposed to be fun.

we have always made things fun for the kids, laughing in the face of adversity. My wife and I are sort of anal as far as keeping the trailer clean and spotless but all bets are off when the kids are with us. It's only dirt that can be cleaned up and as long as the kids have fun, laugh and giggle then it's all worth it.

My wife and I can camp anytime but it's not often we can get all 4 together at the same time, soccer games etc. plus, their moms and dads, our son and daughter have busy work schedules and their own plans.

As long as no one gets hurt or cries, then dirt or that mess becomes a non-issue. They were all good for cleanup prior to packing.

one night 2 of them went to bed earlier than normal they were just tuckered from their day at the beach. The older 2 went with me to the beach at night to watch a lightning and thunder storm (keeping safety in mind)
These are all memories they'll take with them through out their lives.
We've already planned next year's trip

Sounds like one of those times that at the end one word sums it all up "PRICELESS"!
