First test run with the Sunline

Well Hi there everyone!

I want to share about our first trip with our camper, We decided for Memorial Day to go to a National Park. We found out real quick that the national parks are booked almost 1 year in advance. Wow!

No fear, 15 minutes away from Montgomery Bell Park was an RV park (Montgomery RV Park) and they were able to fit us in. We were so excited to find out that all the plumbing was working well and we used everything but the stove/oven. We want to find someone to check the propane lines before we go blowing ourselves up..lol

I tell you I cannot wait till our next trip since we are new to this we will be checking out lots of different destinations. We will need to buy new tires first and have to find the lights because we purchased trailer stop lights for now.

Well my Sunline friends, till the next adventure!

We had our first trip this past weekend also. We were at a military campground on woods reservoir.
There are some great campgrounds just south of you on Normandy Lake and Tims Ford Lake. Even a good one at Old Stone Fort in Manchester

Glad to hear your first trip was a great one!!

Yes, around holidays a lot of campgrounds are booked way in advance. Even state parks. What we do is take a trip to a park based on the best we can can figure out a site from the internet. Then we rate all the sites once there if we would want to camp in that site. Then in the future we can reserve on line to get that specific spot. And if we really want a site, we do the max days ahead booking in the future. So yes, planing a year out is common.

Heads up, camping in the Sunny can be highly addictive!

Thanks for sharing the pic. Cool to see folk's campers in action and the campsites.

John

We checked at Lake Anna where we wanted to take our first camping trip. It was booked up until March 2018.

Yes, I am now doing my homework for the 4th of July weekend, I like the idea of scouting out site beforehand. I am sure my husband and I will give that a try as well. Looking forward to Normandy Lake and Tims Ford as well.

Happy Travels!
