HI Mike,
I have never used any of the online RV rental websites. I have had friends rent a camper from some local dealers. With the local dealers they can help explain them possibly better and if it is a towable camper, then help set up the hitch and brake controller better.
Have you tried looking around your their local area for a RV rental?
A small motorhome may be easier for them verses a towable trailer if they do not have a large enough truck and brake controller setup.
If the rental place will deliver a camper right to the campsite and then come and pick it up after, that eliminates the whole towing issue. I have not heard of that but if done right can be a much less stressful situation.
Hope this helps
John
