I will be ordering the new canvas soon. It is still in really good condition for setting in the fencerow since 1998.

Cool! (Is that a Sunspot in the background of the one pix?) What year is the pop-up?

Matthew & I bought a '06 Jayco pop-up last Fall for a trip to the Four Corners area this May. It was so easy to tow & had a surprising amount of room. We had a great time with on the trip but it would never replace the Sunline. (We sold the Jayco to a family last week.)

Hi Marshall,

I see you are really getting into "restoring" vintage campers....

Yes, the canvas is a bit gone... Wow, amazing the difference from one side to the other.

Your door side tire looks a little low on air unless that is a picture anomaly.

Have fun. Fixing up these old campers is fun.

Thanks for sharing.

John

Now your talking Marshall,
Cox was a manufacturer of high regarded galvanized boat trailers from Grifton NC. They went into the canvas models somewhere early to mid 60's. I believe you have the Cox Cadet. The entrance door is from the rear. I thought the original Cadet had a two bunk seating with a short table in-between towards the rear. Larger models included a Commander that my Dad bought in the mid 60's with the traditional curb side door. When my kid sister was born my Mom refused to sleep in the tent anymore so the Cox preserved our family camping trips. A lot of great memories. Here is a link for some history and ads of your "new" camper.

5 campers! Looks like quite the project. How do you decide which camper to take when you go camping?

Sounds like I have some catching up to do! Cheap Sunlines aren't very common around here though.
