NY - Keuka Lake State Park

We stayed 4 nights at Keuka Lake State Park near Penn Yan, NY. This is a very nice park with 3 loops for camping: Twin Fawns (electric sites and dry camping); Esperanza View (electric sites and dry camping); and, Deer Run (dry camping). Each loop has water available and clean bath houses. We paid about $25.00 per night which included a $5.00 out-of-state fee; it's also $5.00 more on Friday & Saturday nights. Below are pixs of the two sites we stayed in: site #19 in Twin Fawns (left); and, site #105 in Esperanza View (right). The sites are big and this park leaves "shelter belts" between sites for privacy which is really nice.

The park is on beautiful Keuka Lake, altho' the sites are back from the lake and do not have a lake view. There are plenty of hiking trails and a beach, picnic area, play area at lakeside plus large boat launch just down the road from the beach. There is also a children's play area in the campground which is separate from the camping loops.

KLSP is in NY state wine country and, if you enjoy wine, it's a great place to spend a few days.

For more info, see Campground Details - KEUKA LAKE STATE PARK, NY - New York State Parks

(While there we got to meet SOC member, "Snappy," who was camping just two sites away in Esperanza View in his 2553.)

Lisa and Matthew,

Thanks for the report. Sounds like a great place. The Finger Lakes region has always been nice. One of these days we will just camp out in this area and see most of the parks and sites. Last year we camped at Sampson just north east and a lake over as a stop over on the way back from the Adirondacks. Met up with a few follow SOC members and had a great time. Just never know when a fellow SOC might show up!

Too many nice places to camp, not enough time....

Thanks for sharing.
