Golden Hill State Park

We have stayed at this park twice now this year. Both times have been on B loop which is called a prime waterfront site. This places you within 100 feet of the shoreline. You are on top of a bluff overlooking Lake Ontario and is thirty miles east of the Niagara River. A lighthouse is on the property with tours available . There is always a breeze blowing keeping you cool. Very family oriented park. Enjoyed it so much that we will try to book our group of firefighters in for a long weekend in the future. Rt. 18 on the way in was excellent for travel with very few stops. You can see photos of our previous trip in the Community Forum. Sites were almost level, being gravel and grass. We had 50 amp service and water. Power level was very good considering it was 85-90 and everyone was running AC. A good spot to watch boats and ships go by. Even watched a thunderstorm over the lake at night.
Golden Hill is located in Western NY, about 40 miles east of Niagara Falls. Information phone is 716-795-3885.
