Amana Colonies RV Park
We're on our way west to Seattle and stopped in Amana, Iowa. If in Iowa thi is a must stop, a group of charming communities with wonderful little shops as wellas an opportunity to learn about the Amana culture. If you do it the first weekend in October you can join in Ocotberfest.
The place to stay is the Amana Colonies RV Park, a 500 RV site park. If you're a Passport member it's $13 a night, with full services. It' worth stopping jut to meet the office people not to mention the nearby smokehouse and their brats and the wonderful bakery.
We also took the time to viit the Herbor Hoover library in nearby West Branch, a very good opportunity to learn about one of the greatest Americans.
