Personal Comments:
This is a nice KOA. The owners are friendly, and never charge us the little visitor fee when our daughter comes out to the campground for a visit. The best sites are the ones on the outer loop along the back of the campground. The back of your camper will have a view of a farm. The interior sites are packed together, and we've never stayed in them. This is the closest campground to Monticello, UVA and Charlottesville. Walnut Creek Park, a mountain biking park is 1 mile from here. Walton's Mountain Museum is also nearby. It's 25 minutes to the Blue Ridge Parkway. We mainly go here to visit our daughter, who lives in the area, but it is a beautiful area with lots to do.

Easter at the Charlottesville KOA. I must admit, not all sites are like this one. It is probably the best site there.
