Twin Grove Park Campground Pine Grove PA

We had a great weekend this past weekend at Twin Grove Park Campground and Resort. Sites were spacious, gravel and level. Kids loved the crafts (with free), pool, small amusement park, etc. There was even a variety band (playing everything from Elvis to Bon Jovi) in the ampitheater on Saturday night.

Our only complaints -
Staff at the pool really didn't care - and there were 2 boys that were really out of control
There was a lot of in campground traffic - almost like these people had nothing better then to cruise around the campground (and it was mostly the same couple of modified jeeps over and over again - well past midnight)

There were at least 6 other Sunlines spotted on the property too

Price is higher then we have paid at other campground - but we had no reason to seek out other activities off the campground - the kids had more then enough to do right there. We do hope to return in 2011 - for a week - not just a weekend.

Campsite web address - Twin Grove Park Campground Pine Grove, PA

Here's a pic of our youngest after her craft time.

I live in the area, and I have to say, one of the good points about that camp ground is the amusement park. What I don't like is the fact that it's like camping in a parking lot. Call me old fashioned (I'm only 31) but I like to camp in the woods. lol There are some other really nice camp grounds in the area that I could recommend. Check out Rosemount, or Appalachian.

I also live nearby.
They have a bar during the spring, summer and some of fall. Also a restaurant during that time. My family and I have even went just to see the fireworks they have. Ice-cream is great! And the activities they offer are great for the kids

But I feel this place is very expensive! And the fact the employ so many younger kids who can make you feel ...... Not worthy of there time?? (I am trying to be polite here, ok?)

And they consistently want to put you up on the far hill. (Where there is no shade at all! And far from everything )
With 2 young kids and me in pain from a bad knee and back. We like to be closer to everything. We have tent camped, cabin camped and rv camped there. I liked the cabins best because to me they offered shade.

There are far to many campgrounds around here tho for me to be put in the wide open spaces and have a 14 yr old act rude for me to keep coming back. So now I might consider staying this yr but only if my youngest pushes it lol. Maybe I have just been to many times? ..... no.... I still enjoy French Creek State Park after 30 yrs.....
