Personal Comments:
This KOA is great. The staff is really helpful and friendly. Many of their sites are gravel and out in the sun, but there are a number of sites along the tree line, and we had one of those. Our site was beautiful, large, and backed up to a small stream and trees that provided shade. The tenting area is back in the woods and looked very attractive. The bathrooms were immaculate. There are 7 really nice "family baths" near the pull through sites that consist of a residential style bathroom. There is an amusement area at the front of the campground, with about 4 rides, that looked fabulous for the preschool aged child, and they run a cute little train around the campground. ALMOST made me wish I had little kids The pool was closed, but large and clean. There are also a bunch of different sports courts. The arcade is huge. Across the street is Swatara State Park where you can kayak or canoe on the stream (if the water's not too low), or ride on the Swatara rail trail. I'm sure this place is popular on a summer weekend, and it definitely wouldn't be a place to go for a quiet getaway. But if you have a family and want them entertained, this is your spot !
