Personal Comments:

My family and I went on a road trip today to scout out camp grounds, and one of our stops was Don Lain Campground.

They are located at: 790 57 Drive Palmerton, PA website www.donlaine.com
We found the roads in and out of the campground area to be very accessible.
The campground is approximately 80% seasonal units, the units we passed by appeared to be well cared for, nice trees and the seasonal folks we saw seemed very friendly.
Approximately 48 sites are available for 'transient' campers. 13 of the transient sites are in the 'main' campground area, with a variety of options including E/W, E/W/C, and full hookup. 33 transient sites are in a seperate area, with no trees, but an awesome view, and sites that look very easy to get in and out of. These sites are E/W only, but are very close to the dump station (propane, showers, and restrooms too)
The transient area:

Campground features also include: Pool and playground

Check in is 3PM, Check out is 2pm
We drove through Palmerton on our way to the site. We appreciated that it is an active small town america setting, with all the typical mom and pop type stores that many of us miss in our big box store world. The campground itself sits more on top of the mountain, giving a very nice view of the area. The campground was also very quiet.
Our personal still of camping is transient and we have a 30 foot camper, we will consider this campground for future weekend retreats. Due to the length of our camper we would most likely request a site in the transient area, preferring sites N9 through N33
