Gettysburg Campground, Gettysburg, PA

We just spent a few days at Gettysburg Campround. We are new at camping, so don't really know what to compare to, but were very pleased with our stay there. Very friendly helpful staff, everything clean and nice. And if you but two nights of the basic WE site you get a third night free, which we took advantage of. We were there Sunday night through Wednesday, so it wasn't crowded. It could get a bit tight if it was full I think. But we'd definitely go back. It's just three miles out of downtown. A perfect way to see things in Gettysburg. We'd go do something, come back to the camper for lunch, go back out for another tour, etc.

Gettysburg is an excellent place to camp! Glad you had a good time there. We spent 147 nights there ( not at Gettysburg Campground but a resort we are members of) last year. There is so much to see and do there. The town and battlefield get crazy busy thru the weekend so you made the right call on going thru the week.

On the weekend it does get crowded. We stayed in one of their premium sites along the stream, and those are way closer together than we like. Our next door neighbor could barely open his awning without hitting our trailer. The section you stayed in is much more spacious. We'd go back there, but stay in the WE sites. Agree that everything was great except our site size, especially location.
