WTB: Que
We are looking to buy a gently used Sunline Que. We would prefer a RE but will consider a SE.
We're in SW Pa.
Hear of one, see one, have one looking for a great new home, we'd appreciate the help.
Thank you !
Debbie

I see there's a rear entry for sale on Pittsburgh Craigslist.

Thank you very much but we went yesterday and looked at that one. Unfortunately too much work for us. I'm sure it would be a great project for someone, just not us.
If someone else is interested, I'd be happy to share details.

Well, at least he/she disclosed the soft floor at the entrance. Seems like most folks don't disclose too much.
Good luck on your search.

Actually we were looking for a Casita when I happened to find the Que advertised in Monongahela. Did some further research and like the Que better.
In response to the soft spot issue, I think we could have dealt with that, it was the other issues that overwhelmed us.
Funny thing, years ago we were at the local RV dealer looking for a untility trailer and saw a Que. No interest in an RV at the time. But we did remember the stove/sink combo.
We live near Washington, Pa so Monongahela was very close.

Yes, it was a one-year only model and they only built 172 of them, a handful of which went to the west coast...

Scarce? Guess I'm finding that out and most have soft spots for some reason?? I've contacted several people/dealers offering them for sale. We are considering if we find the "right" one, use a transport company and have it hauled here.
The problem, trusting someone's opinion on condition. Pictures don't always show everything. My opinion of good and someone else's isn't always the same? Like buying a pig on a poke? As my father would say.
What a predicament?
Another option, having a local dealer send someone out to check it out for us.
Anyone every do this? I'd love to hear your experience..

We looked at many Sunlines that owners said were in excellent condition, and
when we got there there were serious problems. I'd say NEVER EVER EVER buy a used trailer sight unseen. Even if the owner honestly thinks there's no problem, you may find something. And yes the QUE had some water intrusion issues. If an owner caught it early and fixed it it could have been fine, but many owners did not.

I really appreciate your reply. Thank you. You are absolutely correct, I'm not sure at this point I trust anyone's judgement, no offense !! I tend to see what others don't.
Good example, the Que we just looked at. Neither my husband or the owner noticed the front corners had been repaired. Screws used everywhere but these two pieces of plastic were pop riveted on?? Why the pop rivets when screws held everything else together?? So there must have been damage to those corners or at least one corner and to keep it symmetrical they did both?
I'm sure we will have to overlook some minor things and we know the limits of what we'd like to repair.
Thanks again, we'll keep looking !!

I wonder if you could give me a little info on the problems with this que. It would save me a ton of driving from upstate NY to see it.
Thanks very much in advance.
Nik

I replied to Nik privately but if anyone else would like details. I'd be happy to share.
