Wanted! 05 or 06 T2553
Hi Sunliners,
We've had a '99 T2363 for 4 years now and have had super results hauling and using it. A truly great trailer.
Now it's time to move up a little. The wife has a disability and using the "tub shower" is getting old and painful.
The T-2553 that we're looking for would have the center bath with shower and we want the floorplan with the twin beds instead of the queen.
If anyone knows of a nice one for sale I would be happy to travel to get it.
Thanks for reading.

Oooo good find Jon! That looks beautiful. I'd like to put in a plug for the 2753. We thought we wanted a 2553, but stumbled across our current 2753 and couldn't pass it up. We LOVE all the windows it has in the front and the openness of the living room area. I highly recommend it.

T2753 Looks perfect
Jon,
Thanks for the quick response.
It looks great. I'm contacting the dealer now.
I don't think the extra length will break the fuel budget.
We have a son and family in Akron area (we are in NC) and they might get a visit soon.
Thanks,
Dave

I'm told they do things a bit slow down there in North Canton, so it may be a little while before you get a response. Overall though, the transition from Clay's RV to General has been good and I'm told the people there do good work.
In case you are wondering, it's # 5243.

Since you are an enthusiastic owner of a 2753 I have a question: On the curb side there looks like a partial door. What is this used for?
This is a great club. Seems to very active.

That little door is my husband's favorite part of the trailer. He calls it his garage. It is backed in pegboard so you can hang all kinds of stuff on it. The compartment is 9"deep x 27" wide x 62" high. I believe the 2553 also has one, but it's on the other side of the trailer.

Dave, that's a pegboard storage area. It's about a foot deep so you can hang things and put stuff in front of it. Popular for chairs, cords, lights, tools, anything really. The 2553 has it too, but it's on the other side. The 2499 has it too, so between those three models, there's bound to be lots of suggestions on what to do with the space.

The more I look at those pics, the more I like how they did things there. I like how the whole bedroom is basically crank out windows, not sliders or emergency fold-outs. It would be possible to go to bed and not have to worry about rain coming in on you.
BTW, even though the ad doesn't say so (and the brochure too), the technical name for that model is the T-2752, because it has the twin beds. The same works for the T-2362, T-2552, etc. They specifically used these names back in the '90's. The 2499 wasn't around then, so it doesn't have a specific name, though it could be the T-2498.

I have the 2005 Sunline Brochure and the floor plan shows a T-2753. So most likely this trailer was a special order as the option (Twin Beds- Select models only) was listed under additional options on Sunline Trailers. Actually, they had quite a lot of options on this 2005 model line.
If you need any specifics, I do have the brochure.

I LOVE the crank out windows, and there are so many of them in that bedroom! I like the picture of the back of the trailer. It looks like it's smiling

Diamond plate front stone guard, power tongue jack, center awning support/arm and I love that interior color/pattern.

I just want to throw in my $0.02 and say that the T2753 is a great trailer. DW and I originally went to look at a T-2499 trailer. The dealer first showed us the T-2753 and then took us to see the T-2499 he had on the lot. DW and I fell in love with the T2753 and bought it that day. We have now towed it over 10,000 miles and still love it. Although we have seen many different floor plans we have never found another one that we like as much as the 2753 floor plan. The outside door on the curb side you refer to I call my storage shed. It contains peg board where I hang all the accessories I need for the trailer. Everyone who sees my storage shed falls in love with it.

The 2753 is an awesome trailer, we almost bought one back in 2003 but bought the Airstream instead. Boy I wish I would have bought the 2753. Our 2001 T-295SR had the closet on the road side, it's definately a really nice thing to have. A very convenient place to keep almost anything.

Wanted 04 T2499
Originally I was looking for a T2553 and you came up with a beautiful T2753 in Canton. I was all excited about this fine offering until "I slept on it" and found the following:
There's only two of us so two dining areas are one to many.
There's no Pantry and only one wardrobe.
So we're still looking and I think the T2499 with Twins will fit the bill. From what I've seen on the forum it should be a 2004 or earlier due to the A frame problems of late models.
If anyone sees one of these please let me know.
Until then we'll camp in our '99 T2363 which has a great floor plan as well, just not the Twins and shower.
Thanks for looking.

Hi SimonKenton
If you are looking for a 2004, T2499 I have one stored at home in the shed that is for sale. We bought it new, I'm the only owner and treated her with tons of TLC. Due to work, I have not been home long enough to advertize and did not want the DW to have to deal with lots of calls to show it so she (The camper 1) sleeps in the shed until I can get to it.
It has a camper queen bed and do not know if this is a problem for you or not. It has the maple cabinets and Fern Blue couch window treatments.
I sent you a PM, If interested let me know. Have tons of pictures.
Thanks
John

Sunline in North Canton
Well the wonderful T2753 that you all were raving about is now ours. It's been on their lot for over a year now and no one wanted the twin beds. With my luck, I inquired about 2 weeks ago and they were in the midst of converting the beds to a king, about 80% done. We bought it anyway. I have some rebuilding to do, especially the wardrobe.
It is a beautiful camper and we love all of of the features about it.
General RV has a "Rough" attitude toward customers but when all is done they did a good job of taking care of me.
Now they have a 1999 T-2363 for sale. My old one. It is in good shape if anyone is looking for one. We went to the 2753 because the DW has a disability and had trouble using the tub/shower.
Thanks again for the info.
