Couple things needed/wanted

Not sure what these are or where to find them, but I took pics lol. I'm looking for what ever that vent on the roof is (not really sure what it is). But that cover has had better days.
The other is the cover panel for the frig outside. The trailer used to be a seasonal and that's where the table was so I'm guessing it was leaned on and that's why it's all broken.
Any help on where or how I could locate these parts would be great.
Thanks
Jay

fridge vent cover

I put up a thread last month seeking help in finding that part
Didn't even know what to call it ???
Some replies indicated cheap online sources for it but shipping rates were high
Despite poor pc skills once I knew what to call it, I managed to find a source w/ no shipping fees nor tax
Check out/google Stalkups Rv superstore in Casper, WY. I got the 13X21 inch fridge vent cover for $30 w/ no shipping. Even came w/ the frame if you might need it
Think the roof vent cover is available @ most local rv stores for Cheap <$15

Roof vent looks like a Dometic refrigerator vent cover. Camco makes a generic one that's about $18.00. Just bought one for mine. You can have mine it's in better shape than that one

upon further review I see your second pix is not the bathroom vent cover as I originally thought but the roof vent cover for fridge (I think)
That will likely run more than $15 I paid for bath vent cover

Yes, the local RV dealer should have both parts too. Since your plastic is so brittle, it may be a good idea to give the roof skylight/vent covers a good looking at too, to make sure they aren't broken. This is the time to replace them, before the snow and/or hail makes it a necessity.

This might help on the fridge vent cover. It is about adding the fridge chimney fan but it shows the Camco cover I replaced the Dometic OEM one with.

http://www.sunlineclub.com/forums/f6...fan-10679.html

http://www.amazon.com/Camco-42160-Re...=pd_sim_auto_1

You will need some Dicor roof sealant to fill over the screws or the water will rust the screw out in short order.

The fridge side panel, see here. Just need to check that it is the same size as your http://www.amazon.com/Dometic-310935...sim_sbs_auto_1

Hope this helps

John

PS if you need the roof vent How to, here is a post on that

I picked up both parts.. The funny thing is the frig chimney cover was the same size but the legs/screw holes are further apart on the new one. The holes would line up on one side but would over hang about 1 3/4 on the other. So I ran back to the RV store and the guy at the counter said "that's all we carry now, I could try to order you one if you want".
So being a crafty fella I took the one I had home. I took a 2" bracket with holes about 1 3/4 apart in them screwed them on my chimney, put my new cover on, the holes line up now!! Used a shorter screw to do the chimney side, then on my bracket side I had some machine screws with nuts that I used.. She's all strong and sturdy now..
Not sure if anyone else has run into this or is it just my luck with this trailer so far.

Hi Jay,

Did you get an actual Dometic chimney cover or an after market one?

I bought the Camco cover. Better plastic. They did not have the holes drilled, I had to drill them. That cover fits both a Dometic and a Norcold, the other big name in RV fridges. The Norcold was a different length spacing, about 3/4" on each end which sort sounds like the problem you where having. I wonder if by chance you ended up with a Norcold cover.

My 2004 unit at least still worked with the standard parts.

John

Jay,

You are doing a great job! Keep it up. Look at all the new things you are learning? I know, this is not the way you planned to learn them....

Hang in there, it will be good when you get her out camping.

You'll find TT's are more like a hobby. You spend more time fussing and modifieing than using. When you get it the way you want it, you'll sell it, buy another and start all over.

Lol that's how the Popup went. I did get the pump working today and tanks cleaned and winterized. I know just got a little flustered with it.
