Capilarry bulb thermostat for old truck camper furnace, pic inside

I need a capillary bulb thermostat for a Atwood Hydro Flame truck camper furnace. The pic below is of the actual part.

Hi, UPbuilder,
Since Atwood is a major player in the industry there is a lot of info online, including manuals and parts. Your unit's thermostat may not be very different from ones in use more recently. Google the name of the furnace and you'll find the company site and parts places like PPL and others.

I tried, even contacted Atwood and they couldn't help. The model is Hydro Flame ARC-10X and there is almost nothing online about it.

I came up with a better solution. I'm using a millivolt gas valve with standing pilot that is nearly a direct fit. It will give me a wall thermostat and so much better heat control.

Way to go! A wall thermostat is good. I replaced our analog Dometic with a digital Hunter with a much shorter throw, so the trailer doesn't hit sub-zero before the heat comes on.

By the way, fantastic pix of the trailer rebuild. I thought I was doing okay doing caulking and other chores on our 9-year-old unit. Hah. I love the look of these little trailers but we really enjoy the elbow room of the big slide now that its just the 2 of us.

Thanks! The gas valve changeover and thermostat install is all done and working great. Now I can set it and forget it. No more waking up to too hot or too cold in the middle of the night. I made a post about it in my sig link.
