Well Bob, It was a hard choice. My Dad passed away last year and now we include Mom in a lot of camping. We feel guilty of having an 86 year old on the jacknife sofa. Also there are space limitations not being a slideout. Gets tight during a rainstorm.
Our new Windjammer is 34 feet long with two slides. Being a V nose, the entire kitchen is in the nose section, with a lot of counterspace. The living room slide has a free standing table and chairs and sofa with built in air mattress bed in it. Two recliners also. The bedroom has a slideout giving a lot more room to move about. The bath is full across just like the 2499. It only weighs 1400 pounds more. I will admit, the build is not the standard that Sunline has set but it is better than most of the garbage that we see out there.
To top it off, the deal we received is pretty good. We could not pass.
I posted here because members recognize and appreciate the Sunline product. If Sunline was in business today and offered a similar floorplan, I would buy it.
We would of picked it up this week but the site where we are camping this weekend can only take to 30 feet long.
Bobo
PS; I erred. It is Saturday the 25th we are taking delivery.
