Hi Erinn

Best wishes to you selling your Sunny. Just passing along some friendly info about Sunlines and NADA as it is sort of unique that way. The NADA books fit every camper out there. On Sunlines many upgrades came as standard for the model. The base NADA price reflects the standard options group as Sunline made/sold them.

For example, if Sunline had as standard on the Solaris line a 13,500 BTU ducted air AC unit then that is reflected in the NADA base price. Same for furnace, micro wave, main awning, smoke detector, upgraded cabinets etc. The Solaris line gave all those upgrades as standard equipment where on other brands of campers they where upgrades.

So those standard Solaris items you do not double count unless you or some one else added them above how Sunline built it as standard. But you can add on extras if they are above the Solaris standard group.

Like spare tire, Bal scissors jacks, power tongue jack or anything else that is added above and beyond what was standard for the Solaris options.

I know this is hard to sell a good camper and come up with a fair price especially if you bought your unit new. If the coach is in exceptional shape you can ask a higher price and with the right buyer who knows the quality of coach they are getting, they will pay it. I would buy a well kept 2004 Sunline over some brand new ones of low quality without even thinking about it but that is me.

Good luck and hope your find someone, the right person, to take care of your camper like you did.

Hope this helps

John

The administration of this site believes in a max of 30 mins for edit time. I've yet to figure out why, especially in for sale postings. If you have any changes you'd like made, just let any of us moderators know or post it in the thread that you'd like it edited and we can make the change for you.

Sorry for no explanation on the NADA...I was a little tired at the time.

Jon

I really miss my T2570. That was such a great floor plan. We sold it too cheap and it was in excellent condition for a 1999. Your price of $7,000, if it's in great condition, sounds reasonable to me.

All comments re: NADA so far have been spot on. I will say though that I have found NADA to be a bit low in most cases compared to market, at least for the last couple years. I've heard various theories as to why, but at the end of the day it's unfortunate that the only real valuation tool out there isn't more accurate.

Even more frustrating, though, is dealing with sellers who did just as OP and add options for every single thing on the coach, effectively double-counting. Then they adamantly stick to their $15k asking price on a 10 year old trailer, cause NADA says so. I'm not slamming the OP, it's not her fault, this is what most people do. But at least the OP has accepted the facts unlike most people who will just get angry with you when you point it out.

NADA really needs to do a much better job making it obvious to users the correct way to enter info on their coach.

Last note and then I'll be quiet for a while. As of today the trailer is Maryland State Inspected - which is a very thorough inspection process in case you didn't know. And it has new brakes and the wheel bearings re-packed. All for the same original price! ; )

I am interested in your camper. I have a Toyota Seqouia as a tow vehicle and it can tow 6200lbs. Let me know how to contact you about looking at the camper.
I live in southwest Va.
Thanks
Wayne

You said that this camper may be too heavy for the Toyota Sequouia. Who would be the person to ask for sure?
