Sold today. With a tear in our eye, our 1550 moves on to some very excited new owners. It's nice to see it go to people who will appreciate her as much as we did. We'll miss it! Does anyone else get so attached to these things? Boy my wife and I are weird creatures. We are very excited to get our new one on the road, though!

Congrats on finding your Sunline a new home, and once you start using your new Sunline, well, it won't take long before you feel better about selling it.
I hope you told the new owners about this site or maybe even left a printed page in it with our site info on it.

I think we are already. We spent about 2 hours in it last night making some plans for the trip out west, while listening to the ball game. Man is it a nice camper!

You bet I did! Both! And, I wish I had someone spent 2+ hours with me going through the 1550 when we bought it; like I did with the new owner. Instead, when I bought it, it was a Minnesota February night, and the dealer didn't know squat about the thing. Lot's of on the fly learning for me after that purchase, but this site was invaluable in helping me along. I definitely made sure they knew about this fabulous resource!

You will love the additional room. You mention going out west, where are you headed ?
I want to go west again so badly, but have to wait for Gary to have more vacation time.

Black Hills (Custer) > Idaho (City of Rocks) > Washington (Mt. Adams and/or Rainier) > Oregon (?) > California (Yosemite, Mt. Whitney) > Utah (Salt Lake) > Colorado (Breckenridge) > Black Hills (Custer) and back home. I don't know how we'll fit that all into 6 weeks, but we'll try! Can you tell we are climbers?

WOW, sounds like you'll be very busy, but in some beautiful places to be busy. Just not enuff time this year to even think about heading west. I'd be happy with the Black Hills for now if we could do it.
I was reading something about Yosemite in RV.Net, BUT I forget what it was, so you might want to check to see if everything is OK there. I have seen climbers in the Black Hills on Needles Hwy.
There are so many wonderful places out west, opportunities are endless.
You'll be busy & tired, but if you take puter & have access, please keep us updated on your "Sunline Journey. Then we can sorta travel with you.

If you like to climb you may want to consider Devil's Tower near Gillette, Wyoming. Dry camping their and worth an overnight
Devils Tower National Monument (U.S. National Park Service)

Daughter is a climber...lives in San Fran and climbs at Yosemite all the time...you're gonna love it Make sure you have a camping reservation though - empty spots are a rarity.

Cool! We've never been, but it's the "holy land" for climbers, no doubt. I understand it's a crazy busy park. I doubt we'll actually stay in the park, since we don't have reservations...unless we can get into a first come first serve site, but we'll probably just make a reservation outside the park.
Cheers.

Joshua Tree National Park is another place they like to climb, but only if you'll be in the area during the cooler months.
