Decals
K&L
Are your decals as pictured in hburkholder's post above ?
Our 2006 T-1950's front & rear decals are showing their age. They're approx 27.5in wide & 14in tall (diameter of the "sun" part of decal)
I'd be most interested if you have that size ?
Thanx
Glen & Kathleen
PS Rainy there in Old Forge this yr ?

Glen & Kathleen,
The size I believe is the same, but the color of the '06 1950 should be the darker orange, and the S in grey. But if you change both they will at least be the same.

Although manufactured in '05, & having upolstery as shown in that yr's catalog but not in an '06, our 1950 was marketed, sold & registered as an '06.
All the letters in "Sunline" including the "S" are totally outlined in 1st blue, then grey
However, unlike Harold & Sue's pic which appear as a bright orange sun on the top, fading to a lighter tone on bottom, ours are a darker brownish orange on left fading to a lighter orange on right ???

Sunline built an early run of '06s using all '05 parts. Decals, interiors, fender skirts, etc. Maybe a couple dozen total. Leo & Kathy's 1950 was one of these.
'05 decals have a burnt orange/brown sun with dark blue and champagne. '06 (minus that exception) have a brighter orange sun, blue lettering, and orange/blue accents. '07 was identical to '06 except it had a white reflective ring around the sun.

Does your VIN end in 6Dxx60xx? That run was from like 6010-6030ish.

Yes, those are definitely the '07 version, for direct match with '07s, VINs 7001 and up. (white reflective border)

Yes, my VIN is ####. I was certain I'd submitted it to register previously but didn't supply the RIVA # which is 1580226

Yep, I had it, but I don't have your interior color recorded. Which '05 color is it?
I was slightly off on the range too- about 6020 to 6045, maybe a few more on the end.

Clear Choice Printing Decals

We just ordered a front decal from a SOC-recommended printer in Winchester, VA. Their name is Clear Choice Printing and the phone # is 540-662-8900 (email is cc-mail@earthlink.net). I spoke with Sue and sent her our '02 Sunline brochure so that she could get the colors for the logo and I imagine she'll be printing it within the next week or so. We don't need the side logos as ours are fine. We just replacing the front decal for now. You might want to check with Clear Choice since they will be printing ours. (We were quoted a price around $40 for the large front decal.)
And welcome to SOC!

How did the decals turn out?Nice quality?

Lou,
Matthew and I can not recommend Clear Choice printing. We ordered decals for our 2363 in late March and sent Sue our original Sunline brochure (given to us by the PO) so that she could color-match it. We called every couple of weeks to check on their progress and were told each time that the decals would be done in a week or two. When we checked in mid-July, Sue had no timeframe in which the decals would be done and told us that she only did this - we assume she meant the printing - part-time and concentrated on her regular customers. At that point, we cancelled our order and asked that our Sunline brochure be sent back in the addressed, stamped envelope that we had sent her. We have yet to receive it. We emailed her in early August once again requesting that our brochure be returned to us, still no reply. The brochure was part of a complete manual the PO had given us and we'd really like it back; we also want to get the decals done locally and have nothing that the local business can color-match from now.
We really don't like having to write negatively about a business but we don't want anyone on SOC to go thru what we have with Clear Choice.

Wow!Thanks for the info. Not delivering on the decal is one thing, but not returning your brochure is unacceptable!Like you,we also received the original Sunline "binder" from the previous owner and it included the 2004 sales brochure.I don't know why, but I enjoy reading it over.I guess it's all part of the new illness I have-Sunline-itis!All joking aside,I hope you get your brochure back from this company.

Lisa,
I am very sorry you had a bad experience with Sue. The only issue I had, was when she had a death in the family and some serious health issues going on at the same time (Which I can completely understand.)
I am about 15 miles from her shop and would be happy to check on your brochure for you. I've been more than super busy lately, but I will check if you want.

Gary,
You SOC members are just great! Right now, Jon K. has been in contact with Clear Choice and we are trying to get this resolved. Apparently, Sue had some health issues which were serious enough to require surgery in the months before we placed our order. As you say, very understandable, unfortunately tho' she did not tell us that she had health problems or in any way indicate that making a decal would take anything more than 2-3 weeks. It would have been better if she had explained this to us upfront.
We know that both you and SOC member HBurkholder have had decals made by Clear Choice without problem. Actually, that was one of the reasons we chose them. In fact, the decal Sue made for Harold is the exact size and type as what we ordered, only the colors were different. We assumed - and you know what they say about assuming - that, since Sue had already made the same decal, it wouldn't take long to apply the colors for our model year to do another one, which is why we sent our brochure. Hopefully, we can get this straightened out.
Thank you for your gracious offer to help and we'll let you know if we need to take you up on it. SOC members are the best!
